Tuckahoe Sand & Gravel

The Beginning

Since 1950, Tuckahoe Sand & Gravel has produced quality products for private, commercial, and publicly funded work throughout the tri-state area. Our mining operation is located in Cape May County, New Jersey, approximately 50 miles southeast of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This area is well known for its rich deposits of high quality sand and gravel.

In 1999, new owners updated Tuckahoe's overall working operation, ensuring Tuckahoe's products consistently meet and exceed customer expectations. Contractors for state and federal work come to us for NJDOT, PENNDOT and NYDOT approved material.

New efficiency means lower overall costs to the company, which allows Tuckahoe to pass on more saving to the customer. Our Quality Control team oversees production from beginning to end, monitoring the quality of each customer’s order to ensure satisfaction.

65 Years of Experience

After more than 65 years, Tuckahoe is only now moving into its third phase of mining its pristine terrain. One thousand plus acres provides Tuckahoe the natural resources is needs to remain South Jersey's leading sand and gravel supplier for the next 30 years or more. Our main products have been and will continue to be concrete sand, USGA golf course material and gravel.

We work every day to improve the efficiency of our operation and the quality of our product. Our mission is to safely produce and deliver high quality aggregate materials at a competitive price. Tuckahoe sand is known throughout the East Coast for its high quality and consistency.

Laboratory

Get to know our new laboratory better!

In 2015 our facilities were updated and a new testing laboratory was built in order to produce more high quality material in a timely manner. This new lab helps Tuckahoe Sand & Gravel to make sure that the produced aggregate materials are above state requirements and are safe to use for any project throughout the country. Trained professionals every day take samples of each product and test their ability to withstand various challeneges nature can throw at them. Knowing that the materials are safe to use guarantees customer safety and happines with the product.
